Description
30, 40 and 100 Mesh Corncob Absorbent are very small and uniformly sized particles. Absorbent powder is manufactured mainly from the chaff and pith portions of the cob and absorb approximately 4.5 X its own weight in water. It is used primarily as an absorbent for industrial wastes and spills. It is also an ingredient in the substrate used to grow specialty mushrooms. It can be applied directly to the fluid to be stabilized that could soak up to 4.5 X its maximum absorbency. Due to its inherent characteristics it can absorb on variety of liquids viz. Oil, Diesel, Chemical and water Corn Cob is applied directly as a deep litter bedding material for poultry industries. Due to its highest absorbency properties, it results in lowering down the requirement and in turn, the cost associated with it.
Having the comparison of Corncob Abrasive powder with sawdust, rice hulls and hydrated lime it report 28%, 63% and 86% less material requirements respectively.
