Saidisha Corncob™ (Grits)

Description

Features of Corncob Grits and its applications:

•  0406 and 0608 is the Mesh specification word used in the Market for 4.76 to 3.36 mm and 3.36 to 2.38 mm size respectively for Saidisha Corncob™ Grits. These grades are mostly used as bedding for small animals and bird litter. These Grits are extracted from the woody-ring portion of the Corncob. Corncob grit is 100 % natural, biodegradable and renewable resource. We have been controlling the quality and consistency of our products providing consistent, reliable Corncob grits for a wide variety of applications.

Applications:

1. Bedding for small animals.
2. High pressure-blasting, tumbling or vibratory finishing.

• 1016 and 1620 has the largest particle size of the three most common industrial corncob grades (1016, 1620). The 1620 Mesh is the most common industrial grit grades. All these products are used as media for tumbling and vibratory finishing of metal parts and the appropriate size is usually the one where the particles are small enough that they will not lodge in openings and cavities. Corncob Grits being an excellent Abrasive & Absorbent media hence is suitable for use in polishing, drying, blast cleaning of engineering, metal & plastic components/parts. It polishes and deburr parts and at the same time cleans and dries parts. It absorbs oils and other liquids from wet mass during finishing processes. It polishes the finished product through vibratory and tumbling process. It does not stick the components while being used for removal of Moisture, Oil & Grease. It is Dust-free, Long lasting and re-usable which reduces cost of finishing operations. Because of its environmentally friendly nature, the disposal of Corn Cob, once a job is complete is much easier. These two mesh sizes are mostly used in the Industries. It is completely biodegradable and does not stick the components while being used for removal of Moisture, Oil & Grease, imparting Surface finish, Luster / Gloss & soft De-burring of components. It is suitable for use in Tumbling Barrels/Drums, Vibro Finishing Machines, Herperisers, Centrifugal M/c, Rotary Drum Dryers, Sand Blasting machine, etc
